The Dies academicus is the University's annual celebration and represents a moment of encounter and information on USI's development.
The upcoming Dies academicus, the 27th, will be held on Saturday, 6 May 2023, at 10 am in the Aula magna of the West Campus Lugano according to the following programme:

During the event, some iconic pieces of Ticino's tangible and intangible heritage will be put on display thanks to the collaboration with
- Monte San Giorgio Fossil Museum
- Mendrisio Art Museum
- Mendrisio Historical Processions Foundation
- Centre for Dialectology and Ethnography, Bellinzona
There will also be an exhibition on Swiss sites on the UNESCO World Heritage List by World Heritage Experience Switzerland (WHES).
